Message to Beach Fellowship Family & extended community:
We have had multiple discussions and conference calls over the last several days to determine the best course of action for our Sunday Services tomorrow.
In response to our President’s declaration raising this national and international threat to the level of National Emergency, and our government’s request to limit large gatherings, we have decided to not hold public worship services for at least the next 2 weeks.
We will have a Pastoral message posted to our website at 10:00am Sunday morning for the next 2 weeks! Go to www.beachfellowship.com and plan to worship together as a family as you listen to the message online.
The decision to cancel services has been difficult process. However; we want to honor our governing officials and their recommendations, and we also want to do our part to ensure the health and safety of our community.
At the same time, let’s be reminded of God’s promises and His faithfulness. The Lord promises for those that "call upon His Name", and for those who say “the Lord is my refuge” and who make “the Most High their dwelling place”, that “no harm will overtake you and no disaster will come near your dwelling” [Psalm 91]. Verse 4 of this Psalm also promises us that “he will cover us with His feathers, and under His wings we will find refuge, his faithfulness will be our shield”.
Other Gatherings and Events:
All On-Campus services and events for the next 2 weeks are cancelled. Until it may be necessary to alter our normal operating schedule, our Church office will remain open.
Life Groups may continue to meet at the discretion of each group. This is a great way to continue to be the Church and to encourage each other and the community during this time. Life Group Leaders should consider what is best for your individual groups and communicate with the Pastoral Staff if you need further guidance.
We want to continue to look for ways to continue to bless the community and love our neighbors. So be creative and look for ways to bless others:
- Invite a neighbor to sit in and listen to our weekly sermon online
- Deliver groceries to an Elderly neighbor who may not be comfortable going out
- Prepare a meal for someone you know isn’t feeling well
- We are also delivering food to the homeless community on Sunday morning since many of those individuals come to Beach Fellowship on Sunday morning with the expectation of receiving a meal from the Beach Café. (If you would like to participate please let us know and we can put you in touch with the appropriate contact person)
We will do our best to communicate regularly as developments occur and as decisions need to be made.
It is an honor to serve alongside such an amazing group of people called Beach Fellowship Church!
